What is your favorite book?
Any of Roald Dahl's books or short stories.
What is your favorite movie?
When asked to select one movie I simply can not do so. My taste runs amok across the genres. Here are just a few of some of my favorites. Each of these is memorable to me. I recall seeing "Jaws" in the theatre and the scene when the fisherman's head pops into the porthole. Everyone jumped. Moments later I realized I was still pressed hard against the back of my chair and my hands were in a death grip with the arm rests. Or in "Alien" when the character Dallas decides to hunt the creature in the air ducts. "Don't do it! Don't do it!". I was hooked and submersed into the movie.
What is your favorite musician/song?
R.E.M., Massive Attack, Peter Gabriel

Cyclocross ride over Mt. Tamalpais in Marin
A medal at the Napa mountain bike race. This is such a fun course. Great single-track, tough climbs, more great single-track, and POISON OAK! The place is loaded with the stuff. Bring your Tecnu.
Finish sprint at the Landpark criterium with my awesome SyCip 10th anniversary bike. Landpark is a weird course since the road is wide, the course rectangular, but there aren't any real corners. Just wide sweepers. So the field keeps bumping into itself and eventually a wheel overlaps and down go some riders.
Orduña climb in the Basque region of Spain - I took a month off to travel to Spain and France for the 2003 Tour de France.
Cactus Cup XC Race 1996 - I used to live in Arizona and the Cactus Cup was our favorite local event. Before Sea Otter, this was the mountain bike season opener. Those that raced there will never forget the jumping cholla cactus.
